This is the page for oil paintings on canvas and board.  Click on the pictures below for a full-sized view.   My subject matter moves between abstracted landscapes/skyscapes, systems paintings and my newer Ascension 1 series.  I am concerned in all cases with atmosphere, color and the interaction of solid and atmospheric components of the paintings.  One of the things I strive to do in a painting is to create a feeling of presence that changes as one gets closer to the painting; I want the viewer to find more and more as they approach the painting.

Although I enjoy painting larger images, I spent most of 2004 and 2005 traveling with my family in an RV (www.berrytrip.us) which has limited the size of the paintings.
